The appointment follows Vyntelligence's $30 million funding, co-led by Morgan Stanley Investment Management's 1GT and Blume Equity, and its fourth consecutive year of Gartner recognition as a 2026 Hype Cycle Sample Vendor.
LONDON, UK – 27 August 2026 – Vyntelligence, (Vyn®), the category-pioneering Agentic Video Intelligence Work Platform, today announced Uma Shankar Padhy as Senior Vice President of US Sales. Padhy will lead US sales and industry operations, deepening partnerships with major energy providers and accelerating adoption of Vyntelligence's platform across utilities, energy, telecoms, and data center infrastructure.
A market moving faster than its workforce
US utilities plan to invest $1.4 trillion in the grid through 2030, roughly double the prior decade. Yet a gap shows up across every related sector: 89% of transmission and distribution employers report difficulty finding qualified workers, a third of the water workforce is eligible to retire within a decade, and telecom faces a projected shortfall of 178,000 workers through 2032. Capital is flowing faster than the physical capacity to deploy it.
Momentum behind the hire
The appointment comes after Vyntelligence secured $30 million in funding, co-led by Morgan Stanley Investment Management's 1GT and Blume Equity for US expansion. It lands at the same time as the company earned its fourth consecutive Gartner recognition, most recently as a Sample Vendor in the 2026 Hype Cycle for Customer Service and Support Technologies.
Vyn® is transforming the deskless world of work across global utilities, energy, retail and telecoms, leveraging a decade-long video data moat to simplify and speed up frontline operations, uniquely engaging customers, contractors and colleagues on a single platform. Partners across UK's top utilities and a global customer base including VodafoneThree, UK Power Networks, Currys, SUEZ, EDP, Engie, Northumbrian Water Group and Openreach trust Vyn® today. That momentum is now unlocking multiple partnerships with large US utilities, energy providers, and infrastructure operators looking to scale faster.
Kapil Singhal, Co-founder and CEO of Vyntelligence, said:
“Closing America's execution gap means building the whole ecosystem around it, the utilities, the contractors, the construction vendors who are all short on hands and short on time. Uma has spent his career building exactly that kind of ecosystem at scale, and that's what will define our scale up in the US."
Uma Shankar Padhy, SVP of US Sales, said:
"I have spent more than three decades working with energy and infrastructure leaders, and I've never seen capital move this fast without the workforce to match it. Vyntelligence already optimises major capital projects while elevating the customer experience. By lowering the cost to serve and improving customer affordability, Vyntelligence delivers immediate, measurable value to utilities today. I'm looking forward to leading our US expansion and helping our clients close that gap."
Padhy joins Vyntelligence from Black & Veatch, where he was a Managing Director instrumental in securing new client relationships and closing multi-million-dollar enterprise deals. He previously served as an Associate with Booz & Company (now Strategy&, part of PwC), and scaled business portfolios valued at more than half a billion dollars at Accenture and Infosys.

Notes:
The appointment follows Vyntelligence's $30 million funding round and its fourth consecutive year of Gartner recognition.
Padhy will lead all US sales operations across utilities, energy, telecoms, and data center infrastructure.
US electric utilities alone plan to invest $1.4 trillion in the grid through 2030, faster than the workforce can keep pace.
